Falls Lake is a popular lake, just 25 minutes north of Downtown Raleigh, in Raleigh North Carolina. The lake itself is a 12,000 acre lake, with 5 beaches, 300 campsites, multiple boating ramps, and a network of mountain biking trails, as well as access to the Mountains-to-the-Sea trail, connecting North Carolina’s Atlantic beaches to our majestic mountains. Falls Lake Camping – Falls Lake Park offers multiple camping opportunities, with spaces for group camping, primitive camping, and RV and trailer camping. All camp sites allow dogs, and have access to bathhouses. Electricity and water are available at some sites, and hike-in camping is available for a more “roughin’ it” experience.
