Upper Barton Creek Boat Ramp
Upper Barton Creek Boat Ramp is located 7 miles north of I-540 and about a mile south of Highway 98. There is a great Upper Barton Creek Facebook page that has some great pictures of boating on Falls Lake in the Upper Barton Creek area. The address is 12900 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, but you can just plug Upper Barton Creek Boat Ramp into your Google Maps and it’ll get you there.
Highway 50 Boat Launch
Highway 50 Boat Launch is located about 3 miles north of the intersection of Creedmoor Road (Highway 50) and Hwy 98. Once you get past Highway 98 on Creedmoor, it starts to feel more country, although you’re still just 10 minutes from many popular North Raleigh neighborhoods, and about 30 minutes from downtown Raleigh.
Hickory Hill Boat Ramp
Hickory Hill Boat Ramp is located in Durham County, off Redwood Road, just 1.5 miles from the I-85 exit ramp and 15 minutes from Downtown Durham.
Ledge Rock Boat Ramp
Ledge Rock Boat Ramp is located in Granville County, about halfway between Creedmoor Road and Highway 85. It’s about 7 minutes drive from either road. Ledge Rock is a little more off the beaten path than the above boat ramps, but is nice if you’re trying to avoid crowds, or just to enjoy a drive in the country on your way to the lake.
Holly Point Boat Ramp
Holly Point Boat Ramp is located off New Light Road, about 2 miles north of Highway 98. The Holly Point Boat Ramp is located inside the Holly Point Campground, and is for registered guests only.
Rolling View Marina
If you don’t have a place to store your boat, Rolling View Marina is the only Marina on Falls Lake. They offer 19′ – 60′ boat slips as well as covered and uncovered boat storage. You can also rent kayaks, canoes and paddle boards for personal use at the marina. Rolling View is located in Durham about 10 minutes north of highway 98.
